Ed Roberts, a Personal Computer Pioneer

Henry Edward Roberts founded MITS and created Altair in 1974. Altair was based on Intel’s 8080 microprocessor and is considered to be the first personal computer for which Bill Gates and Paul Allen developed a BASIC interpreter (the famous paper tape case).
